If anyone is in more pain then me,
I wish I could set them free.
Because while I'm sorrow,
I don't want to let go.
I know I'm as bad as the rest of the world,
I preach what I say, but I know not a word,
And if the world could only hear me,
They'd still know nothing and I'd not be free.
If anyone were in more pain than me,
I wish I could say I could see,
But I'm blind and I know it,
I'm careless and I know but shit.
Give me a chance to be a broken heart,
My soul is but a piece of tattered art.
I know I'm alone and there's nothing left,
But there's a sail to be ridden and a river un-kept.
If anyone were more hopeless than me,
I wish I could see,
But I am blinded by myself.
By God, I need help.
And perhaps, no one will read these words,
Because reading is a skill I have yet to learn. . .
